UQ Holder Chapter 38 SPOILER Rumors (Update #1: Now with images!)

No spoiler images have arrived yet. In lieu of that, here are the first SPOILER rumors from the upcoming UQ Holder chapter 38 courtesy of Hata and Southrop. (My review of UQ Holder chapter 38 should come out Wednesday.)

UQ HOLDER CHAPTER 38 SPOILERS

The UQ Holder chapter 38 goodness begins.^_^

From Hata:

— “Chao Bao Zi” marking on Al-Iskandariyah.
(I like quigonkenny’s theory.)
— fires, but still blocks by one hand like before.
— Fate got two helpers.
— Gravity Sword is by Al, confirmed, (NEVER DOUBT ME smile.gif)
— Cliffhanger, Sakurame approaches Fate.

I haven’t seen QuigonKenny’s theory (or I don’t remember it off the top of my head). He may post it here.

As for Fate having two helpers, I guess that’s not surprising. I’m starting to lean toward new characters, not Negima crossover characters.

As to Gravity Blade, yeah, no surprise it belonged to Al. ^_^

Well, that’s it for now. I’m keeping my eye’s open for spoiler images from UQ Holder chapter 38. Hopefully, some show up. ^_^;

UQ Holder Chapter 38 SPOILER

It is a heavy, action chapter. And Touta does something unexpected, yet totally expected, if you know what I mean. ^_~

I kinda figured but then…what the hell happened to him? he’s a sport of immortal too isn’t he?(i guess he is like a book of sorts)

    • nt says:

      *talking about Al*

      • Something probably must be have happened to him during the events in 2065 aswell.

But yeah , He is Immortal , Rumored to be older than Evangeline… But we really never knew since Akamatsu-sensei never really told us =\

        • AstroNerdBoy says:

A lot of things Sensei never told us. 🙁

          • So many indeed…

The one thing that interests me is what exactly happened during the time when Zecht was reborn as the Mage of Beginning , Akamatsu-sensei mostly focused this flashback on Fate , But we really never knew what happened here , All we knew is that Secundum`s group ( Including Fate ) was on Earth for some reasons ( This is where Nagi appeared out of nowhere and fought them solo , Well , Till Arika and Al appeared )

This is probably the time where Ala Rubra and Cosmo Entelecheia had a battle part II , Which leads to Gateu dying and Nagi being the sacrifice to seal Mage of Beginning and Arika disappearing…

          • AstroNerdBoy says:

Yeah, I wish we could get all the stories not told.

        • TeenRyu says:

He did technically tell us he was the oldest, just never an actual age: Al stated he was the oldest in the clash with the revived Cosmo-E

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

Well, it is possible that he could have been killed. I believe he was not a human, but a magic creature, explaining why he had to be a book a lot on Earth and why he could only come out when the World Tree became flushed with magic.

  2. Dargor says:

Al didn’t want to degrade himself by appearing in this series, naturally. Though it would benefit from his presence immensely, everyone else has been incredibly dull.

  3. chaosprophet says:

I really liked the hugging loli throw at the end XD.

Just looking at the images (can’t read chinese), I really like how they went about with their plan. It didn’t felt forced the way they were able to corner someone as stronger than them as Fate. While Fate’s shield should be really strong a 500000x times sword (=500t, so the sword normal weight should be 1Kg) would be heavy enought to go through it. And a downward slash don’t need Touta to be able to lift the sword, he can just let gravity make it fall.

That’s quite a cliffhanger to end the chapter in. Was Kirie able to really take him back? Will he be able to throw her away in that instant? She already ate the pill so even if he does the later it does seems like we already are bound to go to another loop. We will see next chapter.

    • Dargor says:

Considering the punishment Fates barrier could take in Negima compounded with the fact how difficult it was for everyone in the series to get past the stupid thing, Touta’s sword should’ve done nothing to begin with. We can’t have Mr. Special Snowflake looking bad though for a second, that will never do.

      • AstroNerdBoy says:

        *LOL*

That should be interesting to learn. Actually, I am looking forward to reading the current chapter when it comes out.

  4. OverMaster says:

You know, her type of immortality doesn’t grant Kirie invulnerability or even enhanced endurance, so if the laws of physics and nature weren’t playing for Touta, I’d bet tossing an otherwise normal child at full speed against a grown man able to take punches from a fully powered Negi and keep fighting would have either knocked her out instantly or have had her neck snap on impact.

    • AstroNerdBoy says:

      *lol* Good point. ^_^

    • Yamai says:

Pff, what laws are you talking about?
All I saw was a lightweight kid getting catapulted? (Where’s your full speed)?
This was clearly not due to a surprise attack that Fate didn’t react but because of the ridiculousness of it
(apart from being in a situation that wasn’t to his advantage) :
Who would think to throw him the one with the least chance of survival in such a situation?
He wasn’t supposed to know Kirie’s abilities.

      • OverMaster says:

Not like I’ve ever tossed a child against a grown man, but I imagine, if I was as strong as Touta, I’d really hurt the child by doing so.

And really, Fate lives in the Akamatsuverse. Where turtles fly, ermines talk, and Jack Rakan once lived. He should be well used to situations that should by all rights look ridiculous. It’s not like he doesn’t have experience being attacked by people who are or look like children.

So please stop making excuses for it.

      • Dargor says:

That’s the point. If it wasn’t being played for (if you can call it that) comedic value, she probably wouldn’t survive smacking into Fate like that. Unlike Negima or Love Hina, this doesn’t really have the comedic slant you’d expect from something like that.

  5. Yamai says:

I’m not either an expert in child-throwing(of course…).
I don’t know if there’s a means to adjust your throw for minimal speed at the impact.
    I just give the idea.
It may also be that Fate seems to be currently subjected to a code of lifemaker (or something that closely resembles it) and because of that, he can’t play a good wall.
    I don’t know.

As for your “Fate immune to absurd situations”, did you even seriously read Negima?
I have three key event in mind just right now :

the blow he received by a nearly dead Negi during the gateport attack.
the slap with the Harisen version of the Ensis Exorcizans by Asuna when he was about to mentally destroy Negi.
the middle finger he take when the Nodoka/kotaro duo were asking for his plan.

    Inconsistency of the author, perhaps?
But when did Fate get outsmarted by newbies other than by such types of cases?

    Trying making excuse for it?
And what are YOU doing now?

    • OverMaster says:

In all those cases, that was the Fate from more than eighty years ago. One would think eight decades of experience would have taught him to not understimate people. Especially when he already knows those people are the team of freaking Evangeline (Negi around the time he opposed Fate was still mostly seen as just a kid who was good and the son of Thousand Master, but still nowhere near the big leagues- remember his ranking at Rakan’s power chart). Especially when we’ve seen he’s been monitoring those guys. Especially when we know the reason why he has an interest on Touta is because he knows he has such absurdly broken potential, and has outright knowledge of Touta being supposed to be the ‘perfected form’ of what Evangeline and Negi were in regard to Magia Erebea.

Just like it happened with the Lifemaker (who would have won the final shown battle of Negima had he bothered to take two minutes to stomp 3-A before they woke Asuna up), Akamatsu is relying on giving the villains bouts of illogical stupidity so the heroes may have a chance.

“It may also be that Fate seems to be currently subjected to a code of lifemaker (or something that closely resembles it) and because of that, he can’t play a good wall.”

      That’s just speculation.

“And what are YOU doing now?”

Shaking my head at your projecting. Are we going to let this degenerate into a “Not, you!” contest?
